We got hitched!

With the world spinning on its head in 2020, we’re feeling more grateful than ever to have each other to hold on to.

So after getting engaged in March, we decided to do a “backyard” ceremony over the summer. We are so happy to share these photos with you since we couldn’t be together on this momentous day.

“Home is wherever I’m with you.”

With our adopted pup Quentin, Allegra’s best friend, Amber, as our officiant, and a photographer we found on Instagram 2 days before, we got ready at home together for our very intimate nuptials.

Something we realized and then internalized early on in our relationship is when you decide on something you want in life, you should go for it, full steam ahead.

After knowing each other only a few short months, we knew we wanted to be together. Rather than wait, we made it happen. This has become the pinnacle for a lot of what we’ve accomplished in just under 4 years of building our lives together.

Since Fall 2018, we’ve been building Factora, an inspirational personal finance community and education company showing women a path to financial freedom. Our mission is to lead 1 million women to $1 million in net worth and we’re excited to be well on our way with an incredible startup team.

So it’s no surprise that after getting engaged, we waited only a few short months more to make it official. Although a pandemic may have forced our hand, it also felt completely genuine to our journey.

“I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life... if you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it at full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good. Hot is no good either. White hot and passionate is the only thing to be.”

— Roald Dahl

The ceremony

Austin is our mutual home where we thrive. That’s why it made sense to get married up a trail at the back of our neighborhood overlooking the Austin skyline. It was a steamy day, and so foggy that you couldn’t even see the breathtaking views we regularly enjoy, but it still made for some great pictures.

We built an arrangement from Whole Foods flowers, exchanged impromptu vows, laughed and cried.

Home sweet home.

Throughout 2020, we’ve been building our most recent house into a home. In March, it got even homier with the addition of Quentin Quarantino, the half Great Dane, half American Bulldog the universe serendipitously brought to us.

After our ceremony, we came back home and let our new photographer friend capture sweet moments on our deck.

“Perhaps home is not a place but simply an irrevocable condition.”

Eastside Love

Proud Austin Eastsiders, we went to a few favorite spots before popping champagne for a leisurely lunch at one of our mainstays, Launderette.

In front of one of our favorite murals at Kinda Tropical, frolicking around Grizzelda’s and enjoying the ivy wall at Tillery, we painted the town ‘white’ with newlywed glee.
